Kabuki _ Tsubosaka Reigenki _the Story of Osato and Sawaichi

Do you remember a married couple, "Osato and Sawaichi"?
I hope you say Yes!

Well, if not.  Here is the story.

"This is the story of a married couple, the beautiful Osato and the blind masseur Sawaichi. The former is dedicated to help the latter to overcome his handicap. Every early morning Osato slips away from home and she's back a few hours later. Sawaichi starts to assume that she has found a lover and visits him every day."  (http://www.kabuki21.com/tsubosaka.php)

I watched this story in the UK about 25 years ago, but it was Bunraku - the traditional Japanese puppet theatre.  You also watched the Bunraku version of this story just before coming to Japan.  We are so lucky to see the Kabuki version of "Osato and Sawaichi" story in Japan.

Oh, if you are curious about "Bunraku",  you can take a look at the following link.
